As a specialist in International Freight Management and overseas logistics, our group oversees and organizes its customers’ cargo flows mainly between France, Italy, Spain and the rest of the world, and particularly to and from North America and Asia-Pacific.
Purely dedicated to the air and sea freight business and sole multinational SME in the sector, our group is the only French company of its size to have an integrated international network: with a presence on 4 continents, we employ 464 people and have an international network of 38 offices organized around 18 subsidiaries in 15 countries.
Recruitment:
Our group is recruiting a Managing Director, an entrepreneur who will create and develop a new entity for the group on the West Coast of the United States. In due time, the Managing Director can be offered the opportunity of becoming a partner by entering the capital of the subsidiary.
The position will be ideally based in Los Angeles.
Missions:
After having taken care of creating the new entity, the Managing Director will lead the subsidiary.
He will manage and develop the group’s business in his area (US West Coast) in accordance with the group general policy and strategy by:
- Prospecting and developing a customer portfolio (sea – air / import – export / logistics);
- Optimizing the subsidiary’s results;
- Ensuring the customer satisfaction by offering them a professional and high quality service;
- Managing his teams with integrity and respect for the staff, helping them perform in a fulfilling atmosphere;
- Hiring the best possible people and making sure that they are in line with our values of Enthusiasm, Professionalism and Integrity;
- Managing the P&L and taking care of the day to day matters (accounting, legal, fiscal, administration…);
- Reporting to the Group COO on a regular basis.
Profile:
- Sales and entrepreneur-minded profile;
- Proven experience in sales and management in the Overseas freight forwarding industry (Sea freight and/or airfreight business);
- Familiar with international organizations;
- Good knowledge of the US West Coast market;
- Good knowledge of the French – South European market or of the Asian market;
- Expertise and a natural leadership to take immediate and full responsibility of the entity;
- Good interpersonal skills;
- Organized and rigorous.
