Sage Consulting Associates is looking for a Senior SaaS Visual Designer to work for a name brand software company in Mountain View. This individual will be responsible for supporting user functionality and flow for SaaS services by re-vamping visual design for an existing web application with a large installed client base. Individual may also support other new and existing web applications.

Responsibilities Include
Create engaging and effective visual design solutions for web application interfaces and SaaS products that work to optimize user functionality, customer needs, business constraints, and technological realities.
Generate multiple concepts that fulfill product requirements, articulate the relative merits of each concept, and make recommendations for which would best meet the project goals.
Define design direction in collaboration with marketing, product managers, researchers, interaction designers, writers, and customer facing teams.
Approach all projects with a focus on communication hierarchy using layout, color, typography, proportion, iconography, photography, motion/rich media and brand.
Utilize industry best practices and design standards to define and implement design criteria, guidelines, and specs that effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Champion and drive a team vision, foster strong sense of team and provide mentorship to junior designers.
Use initiative, creativity, collaboration, and innovation to drive more effective design and process ideas to fruition.
Skills Required
5+ years leading the visual design of SaaS products and/or applications.
Experience designing, developing and/or improving Web Apps.
Strong understanding of online marketing, web usability best practices, and interaction design.
Proven success delivering strong visual design concepts and solutions that reinforces and drives functionality.
Ability to work collaboratively within visual design team as well as with interactive design experts and other stakeholders/partners.
Expert level skills in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop and Illustrator.
Familiarity with web technologies and their impact on the feasibility of design solutions; hands-on expertise with HTML, AJAX, DoJo, Flash, and/or Flex.
A strong portfolio, available for viewing, showing great sense of design, creativity, and good communication skills. Must include web app examples.
