Sage Consulting Associates is looking for a Sr. UI/Interaction Designer to work for a large healthcare provider in San Francisco. This individual will be responsible for reviewing current sections of the website, providing recommendations for improvements and creating new interaction/interfaces for online sections and tools.
Responsibilities Include:
Effectively and convincingly prepare design recommendations driven from competitive research, industry best practices, user research, and web analytics.
Conduct heuristic reviews of website and constituent interactions.
Produce innovative yet easy-to-use design solutions that address user experiences and complex business, marketing, and user needs.
Work closely with eBusiness Portals, Marketing, and BU partners to design high-quality digital interactions that drive user adoption rates for self-service features, retain members, increase revenue from online applications, and precisely communicate product features and benefits.
Rapidly develop user flows, wireframes, superior visual mock-ups, detailed high fidelity schematics, final design assets and functional specifications.
Collaborate with product, engineering and QA teams to support UI implementation effortsand User Research to design and collect Design Validation Testing feedback.
Participate in formal and informal design critiques, give effective feedback to peers.
Skills Required
5+ years of visual design experience and a proven record of effectively utilizing his/her knowledge of typography, color, composition, and hierarchy design elements to develop optimal user interface design solutions.
Ability to strongly influence cross-functional teams to elicit department/partner alignment to strategic objectives.
Demonstrated success in creating design interfaces that balance user needs with business/legal requirements.
Must possess a strong command of web standards, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility and various web-related optimization techniques.
Working knowledge and understanding of content management systems, web technologies, including HTML, DHTML, Flash, XML, Flex, etc.
In-depth knowledge of user-centered design documentation systems such as wireframes comps and design specifications.
Excellent knowledge of graphics and user-centered design production packages, Illustrator, Photoshop, Visio, Axure, and InDesign.
