Windows Administrator/ Helpdesk Analyst

A leading Global ASP, Application Service Provider, is looking for a Windows Admin/Desktop Support candidate. This private company has been in business for 10+ years, has 300+ employees and has 100+ large Fortune 100 and 500 clients located across the globe.

Currently, the department consists of 1 Sr Windows Administrator and 1 full time Helpdesk Support Analyst. The Company is looking for a candidate to fill the gap between the two in the department by acting both as a Windows Administrator and providing second level Helpdesk/Desktop support to the 300+ desktops/laptops. This person will spend 70% of their time assisting the current Sr Windows Administrator in the administration of 30+ Windows 2003 servers and 30% of their time providing Desktop support for 300+ IBM/Windows 2003 PC’s.

Windows Administration
The Windows Administrator will be responsible for the daily administration, set-up, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, back up and disaster recovery of a 30 Windows 2003 servers running on HP Proliant hardware and IBM’s Bladecentre. The servers are primarily used for AD, Exchange 2000/2003, Print/File, PBX and Corporate Applications. The Windows Administrator will be responsible for user and group account administration, designing Active Directory site setups, build secure file/directory structure via Active Directory, creating and managing group policies and monitoring and resolving and reporting performance levels of the network. The Windows Admin may be responsible for maintenance and management of Public Folders, Mailboxes, and Distribution Lists architectures, clean up, directory synchronization, mailbox archiving, Exchange message routing and transports, Directory Services, Outlook Client, Public Folders, Certificate Services and addition/deletion/ cleanup of email accounts/IDs and related Security. The company is currently utilizing Symantec/Veritas Backup Exec for backups.

Helpdesk
As a Helpdesk/Desktop Support Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, new installs, upgrades and migrations for 300+ corporate users (50 remote) running Microsoft Windows XP Professional, MS Office 2003 and Outlook 2003 running on IBM desktops and notebooks. These are intense and technical users of Windows and MS Office, with a lot of critical data. Candidate will also be responsible for defining requirements for enhancements, new applications, and procedures as they relate to the corporate information technology environment. Candidate may also be responsible for the administration of Lucent/Avaya Definity PBX and CallXpress voicemail systems and Blackberry if applicable. Network Engineer
Location: Santa Monica , CA

A very successful Internet company is looking for a Sr Network Engineer. The company has 300+ employees, has been in business for 40+ yrs, has successfully transitioned their business model to the Internet over the last 10 yrs and realized $98 million in revenue in 06.

Sr Network Engineer will assist the Network Team in maintaining 24x7x365 High Availability, high Internet traffic, and mission critical network. The Sr Network Engineer will be responsible for resolving daily network issues in response to NOC alerts and escalations. This may involve working with other Network Engineers, Unix/Linux Sys Administrators, Security Team, project managers and other staff in order to resolve a multitude of network performance and monitoring issues. The company has one local Data Center networked across the U.S. The company is currently utilizing heavy Cisco routers (65xx, 72xx, 75xx), 3500 Cisco Switches and Cisco Pix Firewalls. This Solaris System Administrator will be responsible for working with 2 other Linux/Solaris System administrators in supporting a mission critical, 24x7x365 High Availability Internet infrastructure consisting of 50+ Solaris v10 servers supporting Apache Web Servers, JBoss, Tomcat and WebSphere Application Servers and Oracle 10g databases. The Oracle DBA will be part of a team of 10 Oracle DBA’s responsible for maintaining, supporting and troubleshooting 100+ Oracle 10g instances running on 64 bit RHAS v4.0 Linux (both local and global remote instances). Company has 120+ TB’s of data with single instances of 10+ TB’s and the OLTP databases are handling 5+ million hits per day. They are currently running up to 11 node RAC 10g Clusters on Linux in production. They are utilizing DataGuard and Data Streams in production. The company is in the process of releasing new products which will result in a 50-100% increase in volume and amount of data. The Oracle DBA will be responsible for the testing and moving into production of all 10g technologies and will be responsible for performance tuning, troubleshooting and issue resolution of a very large and complex 10g/Linux environment. The QA Engineers will be responsible for designing and building a QA infrastructure from the ground up based on open source tools (PHP or Perl or C). Lead and Sr OO PHP/Perl/C Engineers
Location: Sunnyvale or Glendale or Los Angeles , CA

A very successful company is looking for a solid OO PHP/Perl/C/C+ + Engineer. The are both Lead and Sr positions available. This company is in the early stages of designing, building out, enhancing and testing 25+ systems that monitor, analyze, manage, operate, install, build and report on several very large data center global operations and very high volume mission critical distributed applications. These systems will interface and gather large amounts of data in various formats (primarily traffic flow and performance) , from 2+k servers/networking devices and several large mission critical distributed applications, cleanse, convert, verify, manipulate, cleanse data, load large volumes (100-200 million rows) of data into MySQL databases and export data in various formats to several different locations. Furthermore, the company is building systems that handle change management, server and application installs, hardware/software/ inventory change requests and portals. All of these 25+ systems are being built within a WebServices SOA using SOAP and REST. The Engineer will be responsible for the full SDLC of these systems including design of complex workflows, build out of processes, development and testing of systems. These systems are primarily built using OO PHP and OO Perl on Linux with MySQL on the backend.

Location: West Los Angeles , CA

A leading Global ASP, Application Service Provider, is looking for a Linux System Administrator. This private company has been in business for 10+ years, has 200+ employees and has 100+ large Fortune 100 and 500 customers located across the globe.

This Linux System Administrator will be responsible for working with 2 other Linux/Solaris System administrators in supporting a mission critical, 24x7x365 High Availability ASP/Internet infrastructure consisting of 150+ RedHat Linux 9.x servers and 15 Solaris 9.x servers. The ideal candidate will come from a strong Unix/Solaris System Administration background and will have recently worked in a HA Linux environment. The candidate may be responsible for implementing projects related to Linux server capacity planning, new Linux infrastructure design/build- out/deployments, improve Linux server performance and availability, implement new server monitoring and tuning technologies and complex troubleshooting and problem resolution of major server issues and interfacing with Security, Network, Oracle Database and Development Managers. Furthermore, the Linux S/A will be responsible for assisting in day to day System Administration duties on an as needed and on-call basis. The company is running a large, 24x7x365 High Availability Linux/Compaq and Solaris/Sun server infrastructure in an Internet environment. The System Administration team works closely with the Development/ Test departments, external clients and 3rd party vendors in supporting and maintaining company’s ASP environment.
