Sage Consulting Associates is looking for a PR Communications Consultant for an active lifestyle packaged goods company in Emeryville, CA. This individual will be responsible for coordinating the daily activities of a busy communication hub for company PR news, stories, and awards.
Responsibilities Include
Handle incoming media relations as it relates to corporate, sustainability or community areas of the business.
Implement company PR program activity, and coordinate with outside agency of record.
Enter business, sustainability, community awards into database.
Update and develop company related messaging and press materials.
Address, with approval and guidance from management, major public reputation defining issues impacting the organization.
Act as the SharePoint communication team contact.
Compile and synthesize all communication campaign media results regularly.
Write and edit speeches and help speakers from across the company rehearse content as necessary.

Skills Required
5 + years of PR communications experience within a public relations agency, or consumer packaged goods industry.
Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and on budget.
Must be a hands-on, self starter who is results oriented with an entrepreneurial flair.
Strong experience with speech writing and coaching.
Demonstrated history of utilizing superior communication skills to collaborate, build consensus and negotiate with people of all levels and across all functions.
Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail while managing multiple projects at one time.
Extensive copy editing and writing experience required. Writing samples must be provided for consideration.
